Practical Training for the Work You're Actually Doing
Graduate school gave you an important foundation. But no program can fully prepare clinicians for every population, clinical presentation, system, or complicated situation they will encounter once they begin practicing. That is where continuing education should come in. ATS Professional Education offers practical, engaging training designed to help you feel more confident when you sit down with your clients. Not because you will leave knowing everything, but because you will have a clearer understanding of what you are seeing, better questions to ask, and tools you can actually use. Trainings that Help You Feel More Prepared There is a big difference between understanding a concept and knowing what to do with it in the therapy room. Our trainings are designed to help bridge that gap. You can expect:
The goal is not to give you a long list of facts to memorize. It is to help you walk into your next session with more clarity and confidence. |
Spaces are limited. |
Continuing Education Should Not be Miserable
Professional training can be thoughtful, credible, and genuinely useful without being stuffy or painfully boring. We want our trainings to feel like learning from someone who understands the realities of clinical work. Someone who knows that the complicated cases rarely fit neatly into a textbook and that you need more than a definition on a slide. We also take feedback seriously. Participant evaluations help us improve existing trainings and decide what to create next. We want you to leave feeling that the time and money you invested were worth it. Training that is Easier to Access Clinicians have different schedules, budgets, learning preferences, and access needs. Professional development should reflect that. ATS Professional Education plans to offer:
Trainings will be offered at different lengths and price points, from focused introductory courses to more advanced and in-depth learning opportunities. If you are interested in bringing a training to your practice, agency, conference, or professional group, please contact us. |

Where We're Starting
Our first courses focus on domestic violence, coercive control, post-separation abuse, and the ways these experiences may show up in clinical work. These are areas where many clinicians have received limited specialized education, despite how often survivors and their children enter therapy. ATS Professional Education will begin here because this work matters deeply to us and because clinicians are asking for more support. But this is only the beginning. Future trainings will expand into additional topics relevant to therapists and other helping professionals. Our broader goal is to create continuing education that responds to what clinicians are encountering in their work and what they wish they had learned sooner. Continuing Education Credit ATS Professional Education is currently working toward becoming an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider, or ACEP. Our goal is to offer high-quality continuing education that may meet requirements for multiple professional licenses and jurisdictions. Approval and acceptance of continuing education can vary by licensing board, license type, and state. Each course page will clearly explain whether continuing education credit is available and what type of credit is being offered. Until approval is received, a course should not be assumed to qualify for NBCC continuing education credit unless the individual course page specifically states otherwise. We will update this page as our approval status and continuing education offerings change. Upcoming Trainings

Format: Live online Length: 90 minutes Level: Intermediate / Advanced Date and Time: October 30, 2026, 9 a.m. MST Continuing education credit: Includes a certificate of completion documenting 1.5 instructional hours. This training does not currently offer NBCC-approved continuing education credit. Participants should confirm acceptance of the certificate with their individual licensing or credentialing board. Or maybe there is something you wish your graduate program had been able to spend more time teaching. We want to hear about it. Tell us what you would like to learn more about.
