Essential Safety Net Provider Program

Colorado's health care safety net is a network of providers and clinics that offer care to vulnerable residents, especially those in areas with limited care and social barriers. Arvada Therapy Solutions has been approved by the Behavioral Health Administration to be an Essential Safety Net Provider.

Colorado's Essential Safety Net Provider (ESP) program is a program that supports licensed behavioral health entities and providers in providing care coordination and other services. These services include:
  • Behavioral health outpatient services
  • Behavioral health high-intensity outpatient services
  • Behavioral health residential services
  • Withdrawal management services
  • Behavioral health inpatient services
  • Integrated care services
  • Hospital alternatives 

Populations Served/Scop of Practice

Ages
We serve clients ages 3.5 to 65 years of age who reside in home environments. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, political persuasion, or physical ability, people who are experiencing or at risk for homelessness, children and youth at risk of out-of-home placement and their parents, people involved with the criminal justice system, veterans, people who are pregnant, and individuals with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Exclusions
  • We do not serve clients with:
  • Moderate to severe intellectual disabilities
  • Moderate to severe autism spectrum disorders
  • Severe eating disorders
  • Clients with a history of psychosis or actively psychotic
  • Chronic, intense suicidal ideation
  • Juveniles adjudicated for sexual offense and need an SOMB provider
  • Adults convicted of sexual offenses and need an SOMB provider
  • Adults ordered by a court for domestic violence treatment and need a DVOMB provider
  • Severe, active substance abuse symptoms that need a SUD/LAC provider
  • Need for inpatient or residential levels of care
  • Need supervised or therapeutic visitation
  • Geriatric populations (over age 70 years)
