Hello!  Thank you for your interest in Arvada Therapy Solutions, PLLC.  It is my passion to provide high quality services to all members of our community.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions about my training or practice.  I look forward to hearing from you.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education from the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado, as well as an Approved Clinical Supervisor nationally.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents and their families; specifically with anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, depression, sports psychology, and other issues affecting a family’s daily functioning. I am trained in several evidence based models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, and Multi-systemic Therapy (MST).   I am also trained in directive and non-directive play therapy.

I work from a strength based and collaborative approach. I believe that everyone has the ability to make positive changes for themselves and for their family. My goal is to help each individual learn the skills to accomplish the changes they are hoping for now and in the future.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I am a mom to two wonderful boys.  We enjoy spending time outside playing and doing many art and science projects.

I love being a therapist because I get to work with amazing clients and journey alongside as you find health, meaning and self-confidence. It is a privilege to work with you and be a small part of your life.  I've been a therapist for over 7 years and love supporting clients feel empowered and rejuvenated to face adventures.  Working with children professionally for over 15 years I have found that using play therapy is like speaking a child's language.  I have worked in a variety of settings: private practice, community mental health, schools, and overseas.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Elementary Education in 2001 and my Master's degree in Community Counseling in 2011. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado.

I specialize in working with children and adolescents, supporting children to feel empowered and rejuvenated to face adventures. Specifically I have experience with Gifted and Talented students, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and families experiencing homelessness. I am trained Eye Movement  Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I am also trained in directive and non-directive play therapy.

Personally, I love to spend time with my family and friends, gardening, reading, laughing, being outside, as well as doing creative things like making my own pickles and sewing.

I would be honored to be a part of your audacious journey.

I enjoy developing authentic, collaborative and empathetic relationships with my clients, and believe that everyone can enact positive change in their lives. My therapeutic style is strengths based and influenced by relational, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness based approaches to healing and growth. I enjoy working with both adults and children to deal with change, understand and reduce fears and anxieties, increase self-love, develop self-care practices, and explore thoughts and feelings.

I have more than two decades of experience working with children and adults in educational and equine settings. My bachelor’s degree is in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work from Adams State University. I obtained my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a CACREP program at Capella University. I am an LPCC and a member of the American Counseling Association. I have extensive experience with children and teenagers, and use my background as an educator and mother of four kids to inform my practice.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and individuals utilizing creative and expressive modalities. I work with individuals who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma work, grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ and sexuality, and life transitions.

I have also completed my post-graduate certificate in Child and Adolescent Counseling and am working to complete a post-graduate certificate in Depth Psychology. I am experienced in working with individuals who are or have been involved with the Department of Human Services and am familiar with the foster care system.
I have always had a passion for providing support and guidance to children and adolescents and have worked with youth for over a decade in professional or academic settings. Thank you for taking the courageous step in starting your path towards healing and growth.  I chose to be a social worker because I am passionate about creating a better world.  I believe that when someone is ready for change, this can create a positive ripple in a family and the broader community.

I’ve worked with adolescents involved in the criminal justice system, children with traumatic pasts and behavioral issues, parents struggling to support their families, and adults facing mental health challenges.

My approach incorporates attachment-based perspectives, cognitive-behavioral therapy, systemic approaches, mindfulness, and play to help you gain insight on how your experiences have shaped your current challenges.  It excites me to work with families, couples, and groups because there is so much potential for growth within relationships.  By working to identify needs, improve communication, and strengthen connections, the transformation process begins.

While working with individuals, my approach is to identify and build on strengths and support you in learning to accept whatever emotions are present.  My intention is that you will gain a deeper connection to your inner wisdom.  It would be an honor to join you on your journey towards authenticity and resilience.

Outside of work, I enjoy nature, movement, and meaningful connections with family and friends.

I believe that every person has the ability to grow and change no matter how far gone they feel. I also understand that life can be extremely difficult and that change is not easy. I am passionate about working with children and individuals who are experiencing a wide range of struggles and are looking for counseling. I believe that for counseling to be the most successful, it is important for the client to feel safe within the therapeutic relationship. I strive to help the client feel heard and safe in the counseling room.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Northern Colorado with a minor in Psychology. I was a teacher for three years before I decided to get my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. My passion is to help people in their journey through life. I have worked with individuals who have struggled with addiction, abuse, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, along with people who were experiencing a life changing event.

My life experience enables me to search deeper within the soul for a holistic approach towards mental health.  I believe that we all hold an innate wisdom and are able to generate our own solutions but sometimes we forget how.  I use a collaborative and integrative approach honoring your own decision-making process and beliefs.  Providing balance and gentle guidance in mental health care can revive our ability to bring positive change to our lives.  I am attaining my Masters degree in Couple and Family Therapy and Individual Counseling at University of Colorado Denver.  All gender identities, sexual orientations, cultural backgrounds, and family configurations are welcome.
